Conditions We Treat

Tennis Elbow and Golfer's Elbow

Tennis elbow and golfer's elbow are painful overuse problems of the tendons on the outside or inside of the elbow. We calm the tendon, then rebuild grip, wrist and shoulder strength and fix the movement patterns that overload it.

What Are Tennis Elbow and Golfer's Elbow?

These conditions come from repetitive gripping, lifting or swinging. Despite the names, they're more common in people who type, use tools or lift at work than in athletes.

Common Symptoms

  • Pain on the outside (tennis) or inside (golfer's) of the elbow
  • Pain gripping, lifting or shaking hands
  • Weak grip
  • Morning stiffness

Common Contributing Factors

  • Repetitive gripping and wrist motion
  • Tool use or computer work
  • Sports technique
  • Weak shoulder and shoulder-blade muscles

How We Approach Tennis Elbow and Golfer's Elbow

We listen to what aggravates your elbow at work, home and play, then assess the wrist, elbow, shoulder and neck. Care unloads the tendon, then progressively strengthens it and the whole arm.

  • Restoring the movements you use every day. We retrain gripping, lifting, typing, swinging a club or racquet and carrying, so progress shows up in your real life, not just on the treatment table.
  • Constant core activation. Trunk and shoulder stability so the elbow isn't doing all the work.
  • Proper functional movement patterns. We coach how you hinge, squat, push, pull, carry, step and rotate, so load is shared across the whole body instead of piling up in one area.
  • Proper respiratory mechanics. Relaxed breathing and grip tension awareness during tasks.
  • Looking past the symptoms. Especially with severe or long-standing problems, we take the time to consider every potential cause, including work tasks, equipment, technique and neck involvement.
  • A plan built for you. Nobody is built the same or has been through the same things, so no two treatment plans are alike. Your plan is shaped around your history, your goals and how you respond.

How Our Services Help

Chiropractic Care

Soft-tissue therapy, joint mobilization and kinesio taping reduce pain and load on the tendon.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy uses progressive tendon loading and dry needling to rebuild a strong, resilient tendon.

Massage Therapy

Massage of the forearm muscles eases tension and improves circulation.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture can reduce elbow pain.

Most plans combine two or more of these services, chosen together with you, and your providers share one plan so every visit builds on the last.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I wear an elbow strap?

A strap can reduce pain short-term; strengthening is what resolves it.

How long does tennis elbow take to heal?

Tendons adapt slowly, so recovery often takes weeks to a few months with consistent loading.

Can my neck cause elbow pain?

Sometimes. We check the neck to rule out nerve involvement.

Do I need a referral, and do you take insurance?

No referral is needed. We accept health insurance as an out-of-network provider, as well as auto insurance claims and workers’ compensation claims, and every service can also be paid directly or through a monthly membership. Call (303) 465-6332 or request a free consultation to get started.
